Black SpringsPopulation: <100Black Springs is 24 kilometres from Oberon. The tennis courts, recreation ground, community hall and shop are located opposite the Forestry Reserve camping area, which has water, toilets and fireplaces. The shop has a good range of supplies and sells petrol. It has a Visitor Information Centre which is the contact point should anyone wish to use the village facilities. The historic stone Avoca Catholic Church and Shrine is in a lovely setting south of the village. There is also a historic cemetery. Fossicking is popular at Sapphire Bend, off Riverview Road in Vulcan State Forest. Mushrooms can be found in season, in the forest and trout fishing is nearby. Finished looking at Black Springs?
