Inglewood

Population: 600

Once a timber and tobacco town, Inglewood has transformed itself into an olive town. Aspiring to be the olive capital of Australia, the town celebrates the olive in festival and many local delicacies. We can say it is a credit to these country folk for changing their focus when former industries were not performing well. The townspeople prove that it is not just city folk who rise to the challenge and are prepared to make a new future for themselves.

Within the shire is another town of similar size called Texas. This town is on the Dumaresq River, and is attractive for its water activities and camping.

This place is reportedly a cheap place to live, for accommodation that is. House and land packages have been reported to be from around $50,000. So whether you are interested in moving or investing, the prices are definitely affordable.

Check to see if there is any real estate or rental properties available in the shire.

Return to Goondiwindi or visit another town.
